Heritage, Humour and Regional identity
“Work hard to master your craft and never stop learning” - Mario Miranda
Mario Miranda’s work is often recognised as the 'default public aesthetic of Goa'. Many of the pictures adapted from Miranda’s work for public spaces in Goa usually represent social scenes and character types from Goa in a humorous way.

Miranda always found himself between being a cultural insider and an outsider. He studied in Bangalore and spent most of his working years in Bombay. When he returned to Goa, it was only during holidays and, ultimately, retirement, when he indulged himself in his practice as a Goan artist. His perspective on Goa, in many ways, celebrates the tourists as well as the local culture.
We are truly inspired by his work embedded in the heritage and life of Goa. Artists like Mario remind us of the value of life's nuances.
Inspired by day-to-day Life.
